Madison Davis Submitted by: Ann Hathaway
UPDATE 17FFeb ------- -------- -------
Dear Ones,
It is with unbridled joy that I report to you that Maddie is soooooo much better! Our visit to Dr. Robbins in Tulsa last Wednesday was a resounding success in that he diagnosed her right away with candida (fungal infection caused by yeast) in her GI tract, and and overgrowth of bacteria (too much "bad", not enough "good") which combined to cause her to be unable to digest anything. Also did allergy testing and found she does not have celiac disease, but is gluten intolerant - this is a major praise!! He is the most wonderful Christian man, and answered all our questions for nearly an hour. He sent Emily home with several natural meds that are already working wonders for Madison's overall health and in her GI. She has:
*been eating regular foods
*not vomited or had diarrhea since beginning these meds last Wednesday
*had a dramatic decrease in bloating/pain episodes - seldom experiencing these now
*returned to her silly, sassy, energetic self
*has GAINED A FULL POUND!
How I humbly thank God for His clear direction in guiding us to this doctor through a dear saint we didn't know or had never met (thank you Lauren, Sharon, and JULIE). Thank you to all of you who have so faithfully lifted our little Maddie to the Lord in prayer. Thank you to all our precious family members and friends who have been the hands and arms of God reaching out to help Emily and Jeff by providing expensive kitchen utensils that are essential to the gluten-free and healthly lifestyle they are undertaking. How you all have blessed us and strengthened our faith. We are asking God to bless your socks off!
Please keep praying for Maddie - that she will continue to grow stronger, will gain weight, and will bring glory to our heavenly Father.
We love you! We love the Lord, and give HIM all glory, praise, and honor!
Loren & Ann

Allyson Perry 7 year old Submitted by: Whitney Phipps
Please pray for Allyson Perry she is a 7 year old little girl who was diagnosed in May 2008 with a very rare brain tumor, Allyson had 6 cranionmies within a few months. She recovered very well, with loss in 1 eye. Over the last year she has had regular checkups every 6 months including CT scan\'s etc. Last August at her checkup the tumor was GONE! Praise God. However, she and her mom and dad traveled to Memphis Le Bohner hospital for their 6 month checkup. Allyson\'s tumor has returned and has rapidly been growing. They met with her oncologist today and tomorrow will speak with the neurosurgens to determine next steps, surgery or radiation or both. Allyson is a precious, warm hearted girl full of God\'s spirit. You can read all about Allyson\'s journey and all that they have committed to through the last 1 1/2 on her Caring Bridge website caringbridge.org/visit/allysonperry
Through all of this Allyson and her family have been raising money for the Children\'s hospital. They are wonderful people and have the greatest faith in God. Please pray for Allyson\'s doctors to make the right decisions for Allyson\'s recovery and for her parents Mike and Michelle for their continued faith and support.
